If you have recently bought a cool silver artifact, then here are a few things which you might find useful enough whilst taking care of it. First, you need to make sure that only the elders touch the object and not children. Consult the shopkeeper or any museum expert about how to restore the silver, in case the color fades. Never try to remove the engravings unless you know an extremely knowledgeable silversmith.
In the event of the artifact getting damaged, try repairing the cracks with an aluminum tape, and redefine it with your fingernails. Store the silver object in a place having humidity less than 45%. Never put your precious silverware in a dishwasher if you wish to clean it; instead, do the work manually with your own hands. Usually polishing with tooth powder and soft cloth restores the shine, and try keeping it away from salt as much as possible.
